Accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
Duties:
Primarily responsible for the overall maintenance of financial reporting in accordance with SOCPA standards
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes as required by Capital Market Authority (CMA)
Manage the accounting, investor relations, tax, and treasury.
Oversee the financial operations.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced.
Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
Implement operational best practices.
Oversee the issuance of financial information.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
Maintain banking relationships.
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.
Process payroll in a timely manner.
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
Maintain the chart of accounts.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Liaise with Zakat authorities.
Skills
The Candidate should have CME-1 certification done (part 1&2) as this is required by the Capital Market Authority (CMA)
Proficient user of finance software.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
