Project Manager with royal commission experience (Construction Projects)

Job Description

• Lead team in the preparation of construction plans, safety procedures, quality work plans, etc.
• Provide support to the Organization in monitoring the financial performance of the construction project.
• Develop, maintain and update construction CPM schedules including cost-loading and resource-loading as required.
• Coordinate administrative aspects of projects including; contract reviews, contracting, scheduling, month-end processing, project accounting, project related reporting and cash management.
• Prepare, review, update and report on construction cost reports and labor productivity reports.
• Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and standards.
• Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks.
• Prepare, review, submit and track Requests for Information, Change Orders, correspondence and other transmittals using project management software programs.
• Estimate costs and set the quality standards. 
• Create and update two week look ahead schedules.
• Track project progress and advises parties of possible overruns, and critical project issue
• Analyze project related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Review monthly schedule reports and narratives prepared by the scheduler for submission to the owner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Work with the scheduler to prepare schedule updates and monthly narratives
• Promote positive relations with contracts, vendors and consultants
• Serves as the link between Organization, RC and local agencies and contractors.
• Receives reports from and responds to orders issued by RC inspectors.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Interact with the government agencies, sub-contractors, and other internal and external parties to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with 20 years' experience of rich experience in constructions projects out of which a Minimum 10 years' of experience is needed in Road/Bridges construction as a Project/Construction Manager.
• PMP Certification is a plus.
• Should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.
• Advanced time management and analytical skills.
• Ability to motivate people
• Proven experience in managing and directing people, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams (design and construction engineers, superintendents, inspectors).
• Experience on large Roads, bridge/structures, paving, and/or utility relocation projects.
• Experience with Bridge projects is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Excellent command of Auto-Cad, Primavera & Microsoft suit. 
• Cost control and scheduling experience.
• Experience managing a budget is required.
• Interact with the government agencies, sub-contractors, and other internal and external parties to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues.
