• The Senior DBA position will be responsible for maintaining the University's database systems including back-up, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring cri ical events and documentation.
• This position requires maintenance, administration, Installation and configuration of applications.
• He will be responsible for administration of Multi Node Applications and' cluster databases.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology (IT) or equivalent. Master's Degree preferred.
Must have 5+ years of experience in Oracle E-Business and Database administration (DBA) including Oracle RAC, Oracle SOA Suite, M55QL 5 . er Cluster, Ellucian Banner ERP, and Postgre SQL.
Excellent onsite 24/7 Database Support and Maintenance.
Proactive in identifying issues and make sure services are meeting SLA.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Applications maintenance, administration, Installation and configuration of applications R12
• Concurrent manager administration, ad utilities
• Configuring work flow mailer.
• Applying application patches such as One-off, Mini-patch, Rollup Patch, CPU patches
• Cloning of single and multimode applications.
• Tuning of database applications
• Configuring parallel concurrent processing
• Work with Oracle Support on high severity level issues
• User management, Auditing and monitoring of Oracle Application users
• Data objects creation, modification, addition and deletion
• Purging concurrent manager log data, gather schema statistics, Compiling invalid objects in
database
• Scheduling cronjobs on as level for databases, file-system backups, monitoring and alerts
• Support for custom application deployment and configuration.
• Installation and configuration of database 11g/12c, RAC l1g/12c and data-guard
• Upgrade and patching of database
• Cloning of data base, RAC to RAC - RAC to NON RAe
• Administration and monitoring of RAC, ASM
• Performance Tuning of databases and OS
• Database backup and restore using RMAN and export/import, expdp/impdp, sqlldr utilities
• User management, Auditing and monitoring of Oracle database, OS users
• Administration of Multi Node Self-Service Banner (SSB) and Internet-Native Banner (INB) applications
• Administration of Banner Batch Server
• Oracle WebLogic! Apache Tomcat and Fusion Middleware forms and reports server Administration
• Banner application related performance tuning
• Cloning of Banner databased and application servers for test environments.
• Planning and Installation of SOA suite and WebLogic Servers.
• Managing Server and Node Manager Administration
• Applications Deployment on SOA Suite
• Troubleshooting and analyzing failures
• Database administration of MSSQL Server 2014 and database cluster administration.
• SQL Server 2014 Installation and configuration of SQL Server Components
• Configuring and Managing instances and databases
• Identifying and resolving concurrency issues.
• Performance tuning, auditing and 'Troubleshooting SQL Server and Security
• Managing logins, users, database and Server Roles
• Implementing and administering clustering always on Availability Groups, database mirroring and replication.
KNOWLEFGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Proficient in installation configuration, cloning, patching of databases Oracle 11g/12c and Oracle EBS 11i / R12
• Expertise in setup of physical standby Data guard, Oracle RAe, ASM, WebLogic on different platforms
• Highly skilled in backup, recovery, performance tuning of Oracle 11g!12c and EBS Applications
• Proficient in working with technical and functional teams
• Highly Skilled in databases MSSQL server 2014,2016 Clustering and Always on feature in MSSQL
• Skilled in Symantec NetBackup backup/recovery for oracie/SQL databases and flat file systems
• Well adhere to ITSM/ITIL process like change control, problem management, incident management (ISO 27000)
• Highly proficient in PostgreSQL.
